Woon Ho Jung

Woon is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience building enterprise solutions at scale. He was a key member of the early team that delivered VMware ESXi — shaping the foundation of modern virtualisation — and went on to co-found PernixData, advancing high-performance storage virtualisation before its acquisition by Nutanix.

Woon co-founded Clumio in 2017 and served as its CTO, leading the engineering and product organisation that redefined cloud data protection.

Following Clumio’s acquisition by Commvault in 2024, he now serves as CTO of Cloud Native Applications, driving innovation in cloud-first data management.

At his core, he is an engineer with deep expertise in operating systems, distributed systems, and cloud computing — continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
